Regional Youth Commission

The Commission’s strategic objective is to create the conditions for a steady influx of young people into the PZW branches in our district.

This objective can be achieved by increasing the number of active members in the PZW clubs. The Commission’s efforts are aimed at:

  • promoting and raising awareness of environmental protection, angling and the sport of angling amongst children and young people within the district’s area of operation,
  • promoting an environmentally friendly lifestyle and teaching respect for nature
    and the world around us,
  • instilling in children and young people the habit of caring for a healthy natural environment,
  • raising funds from local authorities and sponsors to partially cover the costs of activities involving children and young people, as well as applying for funds from the Regional Organisation’s budget for youth activities.

These objectives can be achieved by:

  1. Setting up permanent or temporary angling schools.
  2. Organising joint initiatives with schools to mark ‘Clean Waters Week’ and ‘Clean Up the World’ within its area of operation.
  3. Organising fishing festivals for children and young people to mark ‘Children’s Day’ and other occasions, regardless of whether they are members of the Polish Angling Association (PZW).
  4. Establishing partnerships with schools and organising joint environmental and angling initiatives.
  5. Introducing ‘Angler’s Day’ into the organisational practices of the clubs.
  6. Establishing youth fishing interest groups:
    • A programme run as an extracurricular activity, led and delivered mainly by teachers.
    • Organising talks to familiarise schoolchildren with the law relating to angling and environmental protection, the life of fish, ethics and water conservation.

  1. Organising youth angling schools, competitions, festivals, camps,
    and competitions for young people.
  2. Organising courses leading to a youth training instructor qualification
