Regional Water Protection Commission

The work of the Regional Water Protection Commission is coordinated by the Vice-President for Water Protection.

The Commission’s main tasks include:

  1. Setting tasks for the SSR in local branches and districts,
  2. Cooperating with the District Commanders of the SSR at district offices in organising the activities of SSR groups alongside the Border Guard, the State Fisheries Guard, the Hunting Guard and Municipal or Commune Guards.
  3. Verifying rangers and assessing the results of their work.
  4. Protecting aquatic ecosystems, including combating poaching and other forms of damage to aquatic environments,
  5. Assessing the work of the SSR in its local branches and making recommendations regarding their funding.
  6. Conducting training and assessing rangers.
