Regional Sports Captaincy
The work of the Regional Sports Committee is coordinated by the Vice-President for Sport of the Słupsk Regional Branch of the Polish Angling Association (ZO PZW). The Regional Sports Committee is headed by a sports captain. The Chair of the Referees’ Panel takes part in the meetings of the Regional Sports Committee.
The main tasks of the OKS include:
- drawing up the calendar of events and submitting it to the Regional Organisation for approval;
- organising and promoting angling amongst young people;
- organising competitive angling;
- directly managing the organisation of sporting and recreational events within the events calendar,
- coordinating the work of the Referees’ Panel,
- conducting training for fishing judges and organising examinations for the various grades,
- selecting the best angler in the District,
- selecting competitors to take part in national and inter-district events.
- submitting applications to the GKS for the award of sporting classes to competitors: master and first class, and awarding second and third classes.
