Personnel and administrative matters; work plan for the second half of the year.
The scheduled meeting of the Regional Executive Committee, which took place on Saturday 20 June, began with a pleasant ceremony to present Mr Stanisław Szymański with the badge of Honorary Member of the Polish Angling Association (PZW), a title conferred by the 33rd National Congress of the PZW on 19 April this year. The badge and membership card were presented by Mr Teodor Rudnik, Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, and Mr Karol Dziemiańczyk, Vice-Chairman.
In the same ceremonial spirit, on behalf of those gathered, Chairman T. Rudnik received a bouquet of flowers commemorating his 25 years at the helm of the Słupsk Regional Board of the PZW.
Following the approval of the agenda, the first item on the agenda was the resolution of personnel matters within the PZW Regional Board office. The incumbent office director, Renata Sobków, was relieved of her duties as office director, a role which she had combined
with the duties of chief accountant; Ms Renata was appointed to the role of chief accountant. Mr Roman Guźniczak, who had successfully completed his probationary period, was appointed as the new office director.
Following a lively discussion, the PZW Regional Organisation’s work plan for the second half of the current year was drawn up and adopted. The Executive Committee will meet on 19 September, 24 October and 12 December. The district councils will meet in November this year. The plan was adopted unanimously.
An assessment was then carried out of the functioning of the Voluntary Fisheries Guard
in 2025, prepared by the Regional Organisation’s Vice-President for Water Protection, Mr Krzysztof Dwulit. At that time, the Volunteer Fisheries Guard comprised 186 guards, who carried out 1,134 patrols. The report was noted and accepted. As President Teodor Rudnik informed the meeting, Mr K. Dwulit’s resignation, sent in writing on 28 May, from his positions as a member and vice-chairman of the PZW Regional Organisation, in order to avoid a conflict of interest following his employment with the State Fisheries Guard. The Regional Executive Committee unanimously accepted this situation and decided to entrust Mr Józef Janowski, Vice-President for Sport, with additional responsibilities
in the areas of the Sport Fishing Section and Water Protection.
In turn, a report was heard from Mr Józef Janowski regarding Mirosław Markiewicz’s resignation from his role in the work of the Sports Captaincy (feeder section)
as well as from his role as chairman of the PZW ‘Słupia’ branch in Słupsk, which still requires further statutory steps. Mr Krzysztof Adamczyk (Słupsk), Mr Krzysztof Wasilewski (Słupsk area) and Mr Marek Zabłocki (Bytów area) were co-opted onto the Regional Youth Council.
The next item on the agenda involved a report on the progress of work regarding the establishment of a casting section in Lębork, and the budget allocated to the Regional Youth Council was approved. At the request of the District Council, Mr Bartłomiej Dawidowicz from the Lębork Youth Angling School was awarded the ‘Exemplary Youth Angler’ badge.
After the Regional Executive Committee members had reviewed the draft rules of procedure for the Słupsk District Council of the Polish Angling Association (PZW), several amendments were made to them
and the rules were adopted.
Finally, the District Executive Committee considered a proposal from Mr Grzegorz Konieczny, the field representative of the PZW junior fly-fishing team,
requesting funding for the trip of our district member, Mr Adam Kubacki, to the Junior World Fly Fishing Championships, which will take place on
16–22 July in Ireland. The proposal was approved unanimously.
