Preparations for the reporting and election campaign are getting underway in the local branches and districts.
A meeting of the Executive Committee of the Słupsk Branch of the Polish Angling Association (PZW), chaired by Mr Teodor Rudnik, the Branch Chairman, took place on the first day of summer, 21June 2025, was devoted to analysing the budget of the PZW Słupsk District Committee for the first quarter of 2025 and reviewing the report on the economic and agricultural activities of the PZW Słupsk District Committee. An updated work plan for the Regional Organisation for the second half of this year was also agreed, taking into account the deadlines set by the PZW Central Board following the announcement on 31 May this year the electoral regulations for the PZW’s governing bodies and authorities as part of the reporting and election campaign leading up to the 33rd National Congress of Delegates
The proceedings began with a minute’s silence in memory of Mr Marian Zabłocki, Chairman of the Regional Fishing Council (OKR), who had passed away on the eve of the meeting, as well as other fellow anglers who had died in recent days.
The status of the district’s budget implementation was presented by the Regional Organisation’s chief accountant, Beata Kątnik, who noted that it remained within financial norms for the first quarter and was expected to remain in good order following the receipt of membership fees and charges in the second quarter. At the same time, the chief accountant drew attention to the need to improve the quality of the financial reports received from the treasurers of certain clubs.
During the discussion on the Regional Organisation’s work plan for the second half of this year, The necessary measures were included to prepare for the 14th Regional Delegates’ Congress and to conduct a campaign of reporting and election meetings in PZW branches, which is due to be completed by 31 December this year. Accordingly, a resolution on the electoral rules for the district was unanimously adopted, stipulating that one delegate to the District Delegates’ Congress (OZD) shall be elected from every 100 PZW members, and that exceeding this number shall entitle the branch to elect an additional delegate.
Under ‘Any Other Business’, Mr T. Rudnik reported on the status of negotiations with the district administrators of Bytów and Człuchów, following their announcement of a tender procedure for lakes open for angling within their respective districts. It is worth noting the significant increase in the level of lease fees for those waters. The results of the negotiations, in which the PZW Regional Organisation essentially maintained the status quo, will be included in the information booklet containing the fishing licence for 2026. After hearing a report on the actions taken by Chairman T. Rudnik in this matter, the district’s members unanimously approved both the outcome of the negotiations and the agreed fee rates.
Further decisions were taken on the following matters: establishing a horse-riding route through the PZW plot in Damnica near the ‘Perełka’ special fishing ground; drawing up the water law permit necessary for the continued operation of the fish pass in Słupsk; the awarding of the ‘Exemplary Young Angler’ badge to Mikołaj Miśnik from the ‘Lęborscy Adepci’ Youth Angling School.
