REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
FLY FISHING 2025
ANNOUNCEMENT No. 1
The Management Board of the Słupsk District of the Polish Angling Association is organising the District Fly Fishing Championships on 15 June 2025 [Sunday]. The competition will take place on the Łupawa River. Competitors are to assemble at the canoeing centre in Strzyżyno. The competition will be held in the individual category – seniors.
Competitors must register by 9 June 2025 by calling 59 8436341.
PLEASE NOTE: The list of competitors will close on 10 June 2025. Fishing spots will be allocated based on the number of entries. A map of the competition venue will be published in Notice No. 2.
The entry fee of 80 zł must be paid into the ZO PZW Słupsk account by 10 June 2025, with the reference ‘District Fly Fishing Championships’ and the competitor’s full name:

PLEASE NOTE: Cash payments are not accepted, either at the PZW Regional Organisation office in Słupsk or at the competition venue. Where a PZW Branch is paying the entry fee on behalf of its competitors, the transfer must be made from the Branch’s bank account or the Branch must be specified as the payer in the transfer instructions.
COMPETITION RULES
- The competition will be held using ‘live bait’.
- Flies must be tied on barbless hooks or hooks with the barbs removed.
- Each competitor must carry a landing net and a pen.
- There is no daily catch limit.
- All species of fish not subject to species protection or a closed season will count towards the score.
- A negative points system applies.
- Fishing will take place in pairs: a competing angler and a judging angler, in two sectors and at positions drawn by lot during the competitors’ briefing.
- All details will be explained during the competitors’ briefing.
Competition area:
Sector A: The Łupawa River from the road bridge on the Słupsk–Gdańsk route in Żochowo to 50 metres before the weir in Łebień.
Sector B: The Łupawa River from the road bridge in Damno to 50 metres before the power station in Drzeżewo.
Competition programme:
7:00 Registration of competitors
7:30 – 8:00 Opening of the competition and draw for pairs
9:00 – 12:00 First round of the competition
12:00–13:30 Change of sectors
13:30–16:30 Second round of the competition
18:00 Bonfire, close of the competition, announcement of results
