Announcement regarding the social float fishing competition
‘EUROPE DAY’
The Management Board of the Słupsk District of the Polish Angling Association (PZW) announces that on 11 May 2025 it is organising
a friendly float fishing competition entitled “EUROPE DAY” at “Staw Łabędzi” in Słupsk. The Chief Judge of the competition will be Mr Stanisław Szymański. The competition will be contested in the individual category.
The number of competitors is limited to 30. Places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Entries must be submitted by 5 May 2025 by calling 59 843 63 41
The entry fee of 80 zł per competitor must be paid by 5 May 2025 to the BNP PARIBAS bank account 89 1600 1462 1853 5624 4000 0001.
PLEASE NOTE: Cash payments are not accepted, either at the PZW Regional Office in Słupsk or at the competition venue. If a PZW Branch is paying the entry fee on behalf of its competitors, the transfer must be made from the Branch’s bank account or the Branch must be specified as the payer in the transfer instructions.
The entry fee covers: trophies, certificates and vouchers for individual winners, a meal for competitors, judges’ fees and other organisational costs.
Fishing ground: ‘Staw Łabędzi’ in Słupsk. Water depth up to 2.5 m. Fish counted towards the score: roach, ide, perch, crucian carp, silver bream, bream, tench, carp, rudd, bleak, and ruffe.
Competition rules – the competition will be held in the individual classification in accordance with the fishing ground’s regulations and the ‘Regulations for Amateur Fishing’.
The minimum length of the keepnet for holding caught fish is 3.5 m. There is a bait limit in force at the fishery – up to 8 litres (up to 6 litres per 4-hour session – prepared bait).
Competitors are to assemble on 11 May 2025 at 6.00 am next to the fountain at “Swan Pond” in Słupsk.
COMPETITION SCHEDULE:
6.00 – 6.20 registration of competitors
6.20 – 6.30 draw
6.30 – 6.40 opening of the competition
6.40 – 7.00 moving to fishing stations
7.00 – 8.30 preparation for fishing
8.20 – 8.30 baiting
8.30 – 13.30 fishing
13.30 – 14.00 weighing of fish at the fishing stations
13.45 – 14.15 lunch and judging panel proceedings
- 14.15 announcement of results and prize-giving for individual winners.
