Review of the district’s financial situation for 2024, preparations for participation in tenders for lakes, and other matters.
The first meeting of the year of the Management Board of the Słupsk District of the Polish Angling Association (PZW), which took place on 22 February at the District’s headquarters, chaired by Mr Teodor Rudnik, Chairman of the District Organisation, and attended by the Chairman of the Regional Organisation, Mr Marian Zabłocki, focused on analysing the District’s financial report, which must be submitted to the PZW Central Executive Board by 15 March.
The report was discussed by Ms Renata Sobotka, Office Director, and Ms Beata Kątnik, Chief Accountant. During the discussion, it was emphasised that the documents had been prepared with great care, and their analysis indicates that the District is in a sound financial position. The financial report will now be assessed by the District Audit Committee and, following approval by the PZW District Organisation, will be forwarded to the PZW Central Executive Board.
Under ‘Any Other Business’, the meeting was briefed on the progress of the training sessions for club treasurers, led by Mr Tomasz Borowiecki, on the implementation of the PZW Central Database. Clubs were advised to acquire suitable computers, download the application for using the Central Database, and actively participate in the training sessions, so as to streamline this process and ensure that anglers derive the maximum benefit from using electronic permits and managing membership matters.
Subsequently, at the request of the sports committee, a resolution was passed by a majority vote to enforce the requirement to catch live fish at all angling competitions, both at district level and within the clubs.
To conclude the club meeting, Chairman T. Rudnik discussed the outcomes of the February Extraordinary National Delegates’ Congress, which amended the financial provisions of the PZW Statutes.
