The first stocking of grayling reared from eggs obtained through artificial spawning of grayling originating from the rivers into which the fry are released as part of restocking programmes. Grayling, being one of the most difficult fish to rear due to its complex hatching procedure, is bred in only a few hatcheries in Poland. Consequently, they are among the most expensive hatchery-reared fish on the market. The grayling fry used in this restocking were in excellent condition, both physically and in terms of health.
