PZW Człuchów District Float Fishing Competition
The organisation of regional float fishing competitions is a long-standing tradition. Each year, the task of organising the event is taken on by a different branch of the Człuchów District of the Polish Angling Association (PZW). This year, it was the PZW branch in Człuchów.
On Sunday 6 August this year, 11 two-person teams, representing PZW branches in Człuchów, Czarne, Konarzyny, Debrzno and Przechlewo, competed on Lake Miejskie Duże. The only team missing was the one from Koczała. Fishing took place in two sectors: A and B, where, following a draw, one member of each team occupied a fishing spot in each sector. Each sector competed in a separate classification, and the team’s result was based on the combined scores of both competitors. The fishing session lasted 4 hours, and fish of all species were counted, in accordance with the current closed season and minimum size limits.
Results in Sector A:
1st place: Piotr Białek (PZW Debrzno 1) 5,240 points;
2nd place: Krzysztof Duniec (PZW Człuchów 1) 2,500 points;
3rd place: Tomasz Kowcun (PZW Człuchów 2) 1,940 points.
Results in Sector B:
1st place: Mateusz Malecki (PZW Człuchów 1) 7,390 points;
2nd place: Wojciech Rybak (PZW Przechlewo) 5,610 points;
3rd place: Tomasz Królak (PZW Człuchów 2) 4,050 points.
Mateusz Malecki’s impressive result is particularly noteworthy! The competitors’ results in Sector B were significantly better. The biggest fish of the competition was a bream weighing almost 0.5 kg, caught by Tomasz Kowcun from the PZW Człuchów 2 team.
Team classification:
1st place: PZW Człuchów 1 – Mateusz Malecki and Krzysztof Duniec;
2nd place: PZW Człuchów 2 – Tomasz Królak and Tomasz Kowcun;
3rd place: PZW Debrzno 1 – Piotr Białek and Józef Graczyk.
The following teams took the remaining places: PZW Przechlewo, PZW Człuchów 3, PZW Czarne 1, PZW Konarzyny 3, PZW Konarzyny 2, PZW Konarzyny 1, PZW Czarne 2 and PZW Debrzno 2.
The event concluded with a communal meal and a formal summary of the competition. The competition was judged by: Maciej Wdowczyk and Mirosław Pryba.
