REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

FLY FISHING CHAMPIONSHIPS 2023

The Management Board of the Słupsk District of the Polish Angling Association is organising the District Fly Fishing Championships on 11 June 2023 [Sunday]. The competition will take place on the Łupawa River. Competitors are to assemble on the grassy area by the bridge in Drzeżewo. The competition will be held in the Individual Category – Seniors.

Please pay the entry fee of 50 zł by 5 June 2023 into the account of the Słupsk Regional Branch of the Polish Angling Association (ZO PZW Słupsk):

PLEASE NOTE: Cash payments are not accepted, either at the PZW Regional Organisation office in Słupsk or at the competition venue. If a PZW Branch is paying the entry fee on behalf of its competitors, the transfer must be made from the Branch’s bank account or the Branch must be specified as the payer in the transfer instructions.

COMPETITION RULES

1. The competition will be held using ‘live bait’.
2. Flies must be tied on barbless hooks or hooks with the barbs removed.
3. Each competitor must carry a landing net and a pen.
4. There is no daily catch limit.
5. All species of fish not subject to species protection or a closed season will count towards the score.
6. A negative points system applies.
7. Fishing will take place in pairs: a competing angler and a judging angler.
8. All details will be explained during the competitors’ briefing.

Competition area:

Sector A: The Łupawa River from the lower boundary of the protected area [footbridge by the Agroturystyka mill in

                        Damnie] to 50 m before the weir at Drzeżewo.

Sector B: The Łupawa River from 50 m below the weir at Drzeżewo to the ruins of the weir at Zgojewo.
