Data from the recreational fishing logs completed by anglers in our District in 2021 have been summarised.
Of the 7,192 logbooks issued, 4,494 were returned to the District, of which 3,332 were completed (with at least the date and fishing ground number entered). A total of 1,338 anglers recorded their catches in the logs, representing just over 18.6 per cent of all permits issued.
A total of 1,338 anglers caught and took home 47,514.8 kg of fish, of which 42,669.3 kg came from lowland waters and 4,845.5 kg from mountain waters. Bream and roach accounted for over 77 per cent of the weight of fish caught, whilst pike and perch made up just under 9 per cent of the total catch. The following fishing grounds recorded the highest number of visits (over 700) in 2021:
Konradowo Reservoir – 886 fishing trips, 1,029.7 kg of fish caught;
Krzynia Reservoir – 1,227 fishing trips, 1,410.4 kg of fish caught;
Cicha Woda Reservoir – 801 trips, 1,117.7 kg of fish caught;
Buszewo Lake – 883 trips, 433.2 kg of fish caught;
Lake Jeleń – 723 fishing trips, 728.2 kg of fish caught;
Lake Kopieniec Średni – 722 fishing trips, 582.4 kg of fish caught;
Lubowidz Lake – 1,775 fishing trips, 1,160.3 kg of fish caught;
Miejskie Duże Lake – 917 fishing trips, 810.5 kg of fish caught;
Miejskie Małe Lake – 885 trips, 1,041.5 kg of fish caught;
Obłęże Lake – 792 fishing trips, 748.8 kg of fish caught;
Zbyszewo Lake – 987 fishing trips, 800.1 kg of fish caught;
Rychnowskie Lake – 2,527 fishing trips, 1,967.2 kg of fish caught;
Urzędowe Lake – 1,987 fishing trips, 1,165.4 kg of fish caught;
Lake Korzybie – 776 trips, 730.0 kg of fish caught;
Lake Debrzno – 909 trips, 747.5 kg of fish caught;
Lake Żukowo – 717 trips, 628.9 kg of fish caught;
Lake Żychce – 1,107 trips, 908.2 kg of fish caught;
Lake Dymno – 1,646 trips, 1,106.1 kg of fish caught;
River Łeba No. 3 – 973 trips, 1,176.6 kg of fish caught;
Słupia River No. 9 – 3,007 fishing trips, 1,775.2 kg of fish caught;
Słupia River No. 7 – 764 fishing trips, 932.9 kg of fish caught.
As in previous years, we are receiving blank logbooks (1,162) and incorrectly completed ones (e.g. missing fishing ground number, missing fish species number, etc.). Anglers continue to record undersized fish, catches exceeding the limits, and fish that may not be taken from the fishery (salmon on the Słupia) in the logbooks.
The above figures for fish caught are raw data from 1,338 correctly completed logbooks forming part of the permits for our District’s publicly accessible fisheries in 2021.
