Reporting campaign gets underway in PZW branches
Teodor Rudnik, chairman of the PZW Regional Organisation in Słupsk, chaired a meeting of the Regional Executive Committee on 19 November, at which the programme and organisational guidelines, as well as the timetable for the reporting campaign in the PZW branches within our region, were adopted. These meetings will not only summarise the clubs’ work and financial performance, but will also mark the start of the roll-out within the PZW of a new online digital platform, a digital database of PZW members, and guidelines for monitoring water conditions.
As the attendees were informed, by decision of the PZW Executive Board, the possibility of concluding inter-district agreements has been suspended for 2023.
The District Executive Committee carried out a preliminary assessment of sporting activities for 2022 and adopted a provisional calendar of events and competitions for 2023. It was agreed that regional cup competitions would be open to clubs, subject to a limit on the number of competitors from the organising club and other clubs. It was also decided that efforts to secure sponsorship and title prizes from district and local councils would be stepped up.
Under ‘Any Other Business’, an assessment was made of the progress of the district’s draft budget for 2023, whilst highlighting those clubs that had failed to meet the deadline for submitting their draft budgets. Subsequently, expenditure for the PZW Regional Organisation’s away meeting in Dymin was approved, whilst the absence of some club representatives was criticised.
Mr Teodor Rudnik and the Regional Organisation’s office director, Ms Renata Sobka, presented the principles of the water monitoring system and the results of sea trout spawning to date. Attention was drawn to the need to train those responsible for monitoring water conditions within the local branches, to equip the branches with basic monitoring equipment, and to implement a system of cooperation with Wody Polskie and the Sanitary and Epidemiological Station. As for the spawning, however, it is currently not meeting the expected numerical targets, and the situation may improve once the weather changes.
The meeting concluded with the adoption of the regulations for the special fishing ground of the Potęgowo branch of the Polish Angling Association (PZW) on Lake Darżyno, and the setting of allowance rates for PZW branches in our district in accordance with the rules currently in force.
