ANNOUNCEMENT
28th NORTHERN LANDS CUP
The “Dolina Łeby” Fly Fishing Club and the Management Board of the Słupsk District of the Polish Angling Association (PZW) are organising the 28th Northern Lands Cup fly fishing competition on 22–23 October 2022 on the Łeba and Łupawa rivers. In addition to the individual classification, the competition will take the form of the OPEN NORTHERN LANDS FLY-FISHING CHAMPIONSHIPS FOR ANGLING CLUBS AND ASSOCIATIONS.
The competition will take place across three sectors:
Sector A: The Łeba River – from the mouth of the Węgorza River to the mill in Lębork
Sector B: The Łupawa River – from the bridge in Kozin (below the fish farms) to the bridge in Łebień
Sector C: The Łupawa River – from the footbridge by the mill in Damno to the collapsed weir in Zgojewo
The competition base will be located at the ‘Na Gwizdówce’ training and leisure centre (Załakowo 18A) https://gwizdowka.pl
The entry fee is 110 zł gross. The fee covers the cost of trophies, certificates, prizes, a barbecue, the chief judge’s remuneration and accommodation.
Accommodation and meals – 170 zł:

one night’s accommodation at the centre

meals (dinner, breakfast, lunch)
COMPETITION RULES:

The competition will be held using ‘live fish’.

Flies must be tied on barbless hooks or hooks with the barbs removed (please don’t forget your barb cutters!).

Each competitor must carry a landing net and a pen.

Grayling counts towards the score.

There is no daily catch limit; the minimum size is 30 cm.

A negative points system applies.

Fishing will take place in pairs – a competing angler and a judging angler. The organisers will provide each pair with a measuring tray.

The use of silicone ‘Parkinson’ lures is prohibited.
All details will be explained during the competitors’ briefing.

The entry fee (110 zł) will be collected on the day the competition begins (cash only).
Bookings for rooms/cottages must be made by telephone on +48 576 224 805. The fee for accommodation and meals, amounting to 170 zł, must be paid by bank transfer or at the competition venue on 22 October 2022 (payment by card or cash accepted).
