in shore and beach fishing (surfcasting)
GPx II
The Management Board of the Słupsk District of the Polish Angling Association (PZW), on behalf of the PZW Central Management Board, is organising, on 21 – 23 October 2022, a nationwide shore and beach fishing competition as part of the Polish GPx series. The preparation and running of the competition have been entrusted to the SKWM Pomuchel Lębork club. The competition will be held in an individual classification over two rounds and across three sectors, in accordance with the ‘Rules for the Organisation of Angling Sport within the PZW’.
The Chief Judge of the competition will be national-class judge Mr Józef Janowski,
and the Secretary Judge will be Mr Jerzy Nurzyński, a national-class judge. Sector Judges: Mr Piotr Jóźwiak, Mr Tomasz Rozenek and Mr Sławomir Myszk – all holding national or regional-class judging qualifications.
PZW members are eligible to compete in the Grand Prix series. Competitors must hold a sports licence and a valid medical certificate (or sign a health declaration) and be registered by their home PZW Districts and Clubs. During the competition (at the venue), all competitors must carry a valid sea fishing licence along with their identity card.

- Please note that the Rules for the Organisation of Angling allow young people under the age of 18 to take part in the competition. There is no separate classification for young people – they compete in the senior category. Young people under the age of 18 may only take part in the competition under the constant supervision of a guardian. When registering young people, consent from their legal guardian for participation in the competition must be provided.
- During fishing, assistance from third parties is prohibited (point 7.6 of the ZOSW, Part II.6); consequently, no other persons may be present at the fishing station except for one officially registered coach.
- The coach must be a person nominated by the competitor’s home district or PZW club.
- The competition will be held using ‘live fish’. Fish may be kept alive in a container ensuring their welfare (minimum 15 litres).
- Equipment and bait must comply with the PZW’s Rules for the Organisation of Angling Sport.
- Please note that the organiser may carry out anti-doping and sobriety checks on competitors. Any competitor who refuses to undergo such checks will be disqualified from the entire competition.
Fish caught (scored) during the competition and their minimum size limits are:
chub – 30 cm,
plaice, flounder, dab – 25 cm,
ide – 25 cm,
bream – 40 cm,
perch – 20 cm,
roach – 20 cm,
rainbow trout – no minimum size,
zander – 45 cm,
chub, nase – 30 cm,
eel – 50 cm,
roach – 20 cm,
garfish – no minimum size.
The organiser does not provide bait for competitors.
Signals during the competition round:
First signal – 60 minutes before the start of the round – prepare for fishing.
Second signal – start of fishing.
Third signal – 5 minutes before the end – instruction to remove one rod.
Fourth signal – end of fishing.
Entry fees. The competition is organised on a full-cost basis, with participants covering the costs incurred by the organiser.
The full entry fee of 320.00 PLN per competitor or 160.00 PLN per coach covers the costs of organising the competition. Competitors are responsible for their own accommodation and other meal costs.

Reserve fishing area (sectors: A, B, C) – section of the beach at Karwieńskie Błota, entrances 2 to 11.
Fishing stations will be spaced 50 metres apart. The decision on the selection of sectors will be made by the Chief Judge at the technical briefing.
