The 16th PZW Clubs’ Tournament in 2022.
The 16th PZW Club Tournament will be contested in both team and individual classifications. Each team consists of 2 competitors. The team line-up may be changed in any round of the tournament without affecting the team score; however, in the individual classification, each competitor accumulates points on their own account. The competition will be a single-round, two-sector event – each round will last 4 hours. A total of 2 rounds will be held.
The team classification will be based on the points obtained for the weight of fish caught by each team member. For the individual classification, the sum of the placings achieved in all rounds will be taken into account (negative scoring); in the event of a tie, the order will be determined by the points awarded for the weight of the fish. A competitor absent from a round will receive points as if the fishing ground had not been counted.
Clubs entering teams for the tournament must confirm their participation by paying the entry fee by 7 July. For organisational reasons, the number of teams is limited to 15. Clubs may enter more teams, provided the organisational limit is not exceeded. Places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. It is possible for a single competitor to take part, in which case they will be included in the individual classification.
Organisational details:
1. The tournament is organised by the following PZW clubs: EkoStar-Belfer, Kolejarz, Łączność and Rzemieślnik. The individual rounds will take place on the following dates:
– 10 July – Round 1 – Łabędzi Staw fishing ground – start of the tournament.
– 25 September – Round 2 – Łabędzi Staw fishing ground – end of the tournament.
Each round will commence at 6.00 am.
2. Clubs taking part in the Tournament must pay a fee of 150 zł per team (75 zł per competitor) by 7 July to the treasurer of the PZW Łączność club or at the Rybka shop.
3. The rankings will be announced after each round, with the final rankings announced at the end of Round 2.
4. Prizes:
– Individual: 1st–3rd places – trophies, certificates; 1st–6th places – prizes in kind (for every two teams above 6th place, the number of prize-winning places increases by one);
– team prizes: 1st–3rd places – trophies; the winning team also receives a challenge cup.
– special prizes – for the largest fish and from the Chairman of the Trójka Fishing Ground Council.
5. The round organiser appoints the panel of judges; in addition, each club participating in the tournament may nominate its own judge, subject to prior agreement with the round organiser.
6. The draw for sectors (A, B) and fishing positions within the sectors is conducted by the team captain.
7. The drawn fishing position number applies to both sectors. If two rounds are held at the same fishery, the sectors are automatically swapped; only the fishing position numbers are drawn.
7. Participation in the Tournament is conditional upon acceptance of the above rules and regulations and confirmation of this by payment of the entry fee in accordance with point 2.
8. The organiser reserves the right to make changes to the organisation of the Tournament in justified cases of unforeseen circumstances which may distort the spirit of sporting competition.
