Anglers for Children – Lębork 2022
On 5 June 2022, following a two-year hiatus, a fishing festival called ‘Anglers for Children’ took place. The first such competition, and several subsequent ones, were organised at the pond by the tank. Later – and 22 years have now passed since then – the pond near Kaflarnia was made available to the Lębork fishing clubs, and the competition was moved to that location. The weather was excellent today. The children were delighted, and the winners in each category received prizes up to sixth place. As usual, the event was organised by the Lębork branches of the Polish Angling Association – the KKP branch in Lębork, the Pstrąg branch from Nowa Wieś Lęborska and the Lębork-Miasto branch.
On behalf of all the children who took part in the competition that day, we would like to thank all the sponsors and prize donors from the bottom of our hearts. A total of 298 children took part in the festival. They all received goody bags filled with sweets, ice cream, pea soup, grilled sausages, chips, and, of course, the main attraction – the chance to catch trout.
