Organisational announcement for the Słupsk Youth Fishing Olympics
The PZW Regional Board is organising float and casting competitions on 28 May 2022 as part of the SŁUPSK YOUTH OLYMPICS in angling. A competitor’s result will include written tests based on questions from the environmental and angling test used in the National Youth Olympiads, available on the PZW Central Board’s website at https://www.pzw.org.pl/mlodziez/cms/20011/questions_for_the_ecology-and-angling_test_for_the_angling_olympiads.
The angling competition will be held using ‘live bait’ at Łabędzi Pond in Słupsk. The casting competition will take place on the lawn opposite the Police Academy, whilst the tests will be held in the lecture theatre of the Police Academy Shooting Range on Orzeszkowej Street.
We invite teams of three pupils from primary schools within the area covered by the Słupsk Branch of the Polish Angling Association (PZW), accompanied by their supervisors, to take part in the competition.
The competition will be held in a single category for primary school pupils aged 14 and under, with both individual and team classifications. Due to the limited number of fishing spots at the venue, participation in the competition will be determined on a first-come, first-served basis. Competitors should bring their own keepnets for storing the fish they catch. A limit of 3 litres of groundbait per competition session applies at the fishing ground. Competitors and supervisors are to assemble at Łabędzi Pond, next to the fountain, on 28 May at 7.00 am.
Entries will be accepted at the PZW Regional Office or by telephone on 59/8436341 by 23 May at the latest.
