ANNOUNCEMENT
27th NORTHERN LANDS CUP
The Management Board of the Słupsk District of the Polish Angling Association (PZW) is organising the 27th Northern Lands Cup fly-fishing competition on the Łupawa River on 23–24 October 2021. In addition to the individual classification, the competition will take the form of the OPEN NORTHERN LANDS FLY-FISHING CHAMPIONSHIPS FOR ANGLING CLUBS AND ASSOCIATIONS.
The competition will take place across three sectors:
Sector A: from the bridge in Kozin (downstream of the fish farms) to the power station in Łupawa
Sector B: from the power station in Łupawa to the bridge in Łebień
Sector C: from the footbridge by the mill in Damno to the collapsed weir in Zgojewo
The competition base will be located at the Zawiaty training and leisure centre (Czarna Dąbrówka) www.zawiaty.pl.
The entry fee is 100 zł gross. The fee covers the cost of trophies, certificates and prizes, as well as a barbecue.
Accommodation and meals – 195 zł:
– one night’s accommodation at the centre
– meals (dinner, breakfast, lunch)
COMPETITION RULES:
- The competition will be held using ‘live bait’ .
- Flies must be tied on barbless hooks or hooks with the barbs removed (please don’t forget your barb-removing pliers!).
- Each competitor must carry a landing net and a pen.
- Grayling counts towards the score.
- There is no daily catch limit; the minimum size is 30 cm.
- A negative points system applies.
- Fishing will take place in pairs – a competing angler and a judging angler. The organisers will provide each pair with a tray and a measuring tape.
All details will be explained during the competitors’ briefing.
