Rules and Regulations of the Art Competition for children from the area covered by the Słupsk District of the Polish Angling Association (PZW)

1. The Art Competition for children from the area covered by the PZW District in Słupsk is organised by the District Youth Commission attached to the Management Board of the PZW District in Słupsk
2. Aims of the competition.
   1. To foster children’s and young people’s interest in the arts, integrated with knowledge of angling.
   2. To encourage the use of various techniques as a free form of artistic expression.
   3. To showcase the work of young artists to a wider audience.
3. Subject of the competition.
   1. The subject of the competition is the creation, using any technique, of an artwork relating to angling.
4. Participants.
   1. Children from the area covered by the Słupsk District of the Polish Angling Association (PZW)
   2. Entries will be judged in two age categories: up to 11 years old and up to 16 years old.
5. Conditions of entry.
   1. Each participant may submit one entry.
   2. Entry format: A4.
   3. Any artistic technique may be used (excluding loose or three-dimensional works).
   4. For an entry to be eligible for the competition, the following is required:
      1. the participant’s parent or legal guardian must complete and sign the declaration of the free transfer of copyright to the Competition Organiser (Appendix 1) and attach this document to the artwork,
      2. attaching Appendix 2, containing the author’s details, to the artwork.
6. Deadline and conditions for submitting entries.
   1. Entries must be sent to the following address: The Management Board of the Słupsk District of the Polish Angling Association, Al. 3-go Maja 65A, 76-200 Słupsk – marked ‘Art Competition’, by 31 July 2020 (the date of the postmark will be taken as proof of the date of posting).
   2. Entries received after the deadline will not be judged.
7. Assessment of entries and rules for awarding prizes.
   1. Entries will be judged by a Competition Committee appointed by the organiser.
   2. Criteria for judging entries:
      1. originality of the work,
      2. alignment of the entry with the competition theme,
      3. aesthetic quality of the work,
      4. originality,
      5. creativity.
   3. Entries that do not comply with these Rules will not be judged.
   4. In each age category, prizes in the form of vouchers for fishing tackle shops will be awarded for the top places in each category as follows:
      – 1st place – worth 300.00
      – 2nd place – worth 200.00
      – 3rd place – worth 100.00
      The voucher may be redeemed at the nearest fishing tackle shop to the winner’s place of residence.
   5. The Committee’s decision regarding the awarding of prizes is final.
   6. The official announcement of the competition results will be published on the website of the Słupsk Regional Organisation of the Polish Angling Association (ZO PZW Słupsk) at pzw.slupsk.pl, and the prizes for the authors of the best entries will be presented at the PZW clubs closest to the winners’ places of residence.
   7. The winning artworks and the names of their creators will be published on the website of the Polish Angling Association – pzw.slupsk.pl
8. Final provisions.

1.  By taking part in the competition, participants accept these rules.
2. The Competition Organiser reserves the right to use the artworks, personal data and image of the author for publication in all areas of its activities.
3. Entries and documents submitted for the competition will not be returned.
4. The personal data of Competition participants is protected by law and will be used solely for the purpose of selecting the winners, awarding prizes and for promotional purposes.
5. The Organiser reserves the right to cancel the Competition should the number of entries be insufficient.
6. In matters not covered by these Rules, the decision shall rest with the Regional Youth Commission attached to the Regional Board of the Polish Angling Association (PZW) in Słupsk.
