Polish GRAND PRIX in sea angling from a drifting boat using artificial lures for the ‘Pomorzanka Cup 2019’
PRESS RELEASE NO. 2
The Management Board of the Słupsk Regional Branch of the Polish Angling Association (PZW), on behalf of the PZW Central Management Board, is organising a competition from 13–15 September 2019 for the the “Pomorzanka Cup 2019” (alternative dates: 4–6 October 2019). The competition will be contested in individual and team categories in accordance with the rules governing the organisation of angling. The competition counts towards the 2019 Polish General Classification (GP).
Sponsor: for catching the longest fish, Mr Dariusz Smoleń-Grat (fishing guide) has sponsored a fishing trip to Norway to a fishing base in the Lofoten Islands, worth 3,000 zł.
The competition will take place on the following boats: Mistral, Nautic, Łowca K, Irena-J
Competitors must have:
- A valid medical certificate (or sign a health declaration).
- Proof of identity.
- A sport fishing licence.
- A paid-up PZW membership fee.
Composition of the judging panel:
- Józef Janowski – chief referee

- Tomasz Rozenek – sector referee
Fish stock: main species caught – cod (Gadus morhua L),
Fish caught during the competition and their sizes: salmon, sea trout – 61 cm (2 fish in total),
rainbow trout – 40 cm, cod – 37 cm, mackerel – 31 cm, garfish – 40 cm (limit of 10), saithe – 37 cm.
