The Management Board of the Słupsk District of the Polish Angling Association hereby informs you that only fishing licences issued after 31 January 1997 are valid. This follows from the Act of 27 September 1996 amending the Act on Inland Fisheries (Journal of Laws 1996 No. 128, item 602), Article 2:
Article 2.
Fishing licences or spearfishing licences issued under the previous regulations shall remain valid until 31 December 1998. Holders of such licences, when exchanging them within the period specified in the preceding sentence for licences required under the provisions of this Act, are exempt from the obligation to sit the examination referred to in Article 7(5).
We would ask the PZW Clubs, and in particular the Treasurers of the PZW Clubs, to pay attention to the date of issue of the fishing licence when selling membership fees. Please find attached a letter from the PZW Central Board.
