ANNOUNCEMENT
“Pstrąg Wieprzy 2018” Regional Friendly Spinning Competition
The Management Board of the Słupsk District of the Polish Angling Association has entrusted the organisation of the “Pstrąg Wieprzy 2018” Regional Friendly Spinning Competition to the PAA Branch in Kępice.
- Date and venue of the competition:
- The River Wieprza on 8 April 2018. Competitors are to assemble in the car park by the road bridge over the River Wieprza in Broczyna at 06:00
- Sector A – from the road bridge in Broczyna upstream to the fish farm in Bożanka (including the River Pokrzywna).
- Sector B – from the road bridge in Broczyna downstream to the road bridge in Kępice (including the Studnica River).
- Fish caught during the competition:
- only brown trout will count towards the score.
- Fish length is scored according to the following rule: minimum size 30 cm = 300 points + 50 points for each additional centimetre or part thereof.
- The competition will be held in both individual and team categories.
The competition will be held using live bait, in randomly drawn pairs:
Competitor – fishing judge.
- Each competitor must be equipped with a pen and a camera (which may be on a mobile phone); failure to provide these will result in the fish caught not being counted towards the score.
- Competitors are responsible for their own travel to the competition venue. The organiser permits competitors to travel to the sector using their own means of transport.
- Written or telephone registrations for two-person teams will be accepted at the ZO PZW Słupsk office by 30 March 2018 at the latest. The entry fee of 30 zł per competitor must be paid at the PZW Słupsk Regional Office or transferred to the bank account (number in the letter header), stating the competitor’s full name in the transfer title with the note ‘2018 Wieprzy Trout Regional Spinning Competition’. Failure to register and pay the entry fee will result in exclusion from the competition.
- The organiser will provide all participants with a hot meal, as well as trophies and certificates for the top competitors in the individual and team classifications
Competition schedule:
6.00 – competitors’ meeting
6.00 – 6.30 – registration and draw for sectors
6.30 – 6.40 – opening of the competition
6:40 – 7:00 – transfer to the fishing ground
7:00 – 12:30 – fishing
12:30 – 13:00 – return to base and reporting of catches
13:00 – 14:00 – lunch
14:00 – Announcement of results and close of the competition
The organiser reserves the right to make changes to the competition schedule. All technical details will be provided by the Chief Judge, Wojciech Kontowicz, during the briefing.
