Regions Cup Club
Fly Fishing in the Łeba Valley, the Słupsk Regional Organisation of the Polish Angling Association (PZW) and the Lębork City Branch of the Polish Angling Association (PZW) are organising
on 22–23 October 2016 a fly fishing competition for the XXIII “Northern Lands Cup”
” on the ŁEBA and ŁUPAWA rivers. In addition to the individual classification, the competition will take the form of “OPEN
NORTHERN LANDS FLY-FISHING CHAMPIONSHIPS FOR CLUBS AND ANGLING ASSOCIATIONS
’
format. The competition will be held across three
sectors:
Sector A: the ŁEBA river from the Węgorza river in Ługi to the
road bridge (near the court) in Lębork
Sector B: the
ŁUPAWA from the road bridge in Kozin to the bridge in Łupawa
Sector
C: the ŁUPAWA River from the road bridge in Poganice to the dam in
Łebień
The competition base will be located at the
“Pałac pod Bocianim Gniazdem” holiday resort in Runowo http://runowo.pl/
The entry fee is 165 zł for seniors and 125 zł for juniors. The fee includes:
– one night’s accommodation at the resort
– meals
(lunch, barbecue, breakfast, dinner)
—organisational costs, and the purchase of
trophies, certificates and prizes
COMPETITION RULES:
1.
Flies must be tied on barbless hooks or hooks with the barbs removed (don’t forget your barb removers!).
2. Each competitor
must carry a landing net and a pen.
3.
Grayling over 30 cm will count towards the score.
4. The competition will be held using ‘live bait’. There is no daily catch limit; fish must be returned to the water.
5. Negative scoring applies. 6. Fishing will take place in pairs – a competitor fishing alongside a judge. The organisers will provide each pair with a measuring tray.

The entry fee
will be collected at the competition venue; anyone who has not registered by the deadline via email will not be admitted to the competition.
