The Management Board of the Słupsk District of the Polish Angling Association, in connection with the planned launch of a 24-hour
SSR – Skarszów 2015 post for the protection of sea trout spawning on the River Skotawa, kindly requests fellow Chairmen to
select, from among their SSR members, those willing to
carry out duty shifts. The post is scheduled to operate for a period of two weeks, i.e. from 7 to 22 November. We therefore kindly request that, by 30 September 2015, you provide
the lists of personnel from each local branch so that a duty rota can be drawn up. The rules for the
operation of the monitoring post are set out in the Regulations attached to this letter. Given the importance of this matter, and in particular the protection of fish during this period,
we kindly ask for
your understanding and assistance with the aforementioned CAMPAIGN
TROĆ-2015.

Regulations for the operation of the 24-hour SSR post – Skarszów 2015
The
The Voluntary
Fisheries Guard is established to monitor and ensure compliance with the Act on
inland fisheries and the regulations issued under it
.

Duties are carried out by individuals who are
SSR wardens and anglers who are members of the PZW. -
The post commander is an SSR guard
appointed by the Vice-President of the PZW Regional Organisation for Sport and Water Conservation
for the duration of their shift. -
The action plan and the period
during which the post is operational are determined by the PZW Regional Organisation in Słupsk; the coordinator of these activities is the Vice-President of the PZW Regional Organisation for Sport and Water Conservation,

Post commanders organise
the work of the patrols and keep a record of duty shifts. -
Guards patrol the area of the Skotawa River near Skarszów.

If a poacher is spotted,
the rangers will attempt to apprehend them or notify the police
(112 or via the contact number provided by the post commander). -
Shifts will last 12 hours each;
/ these will count as double duty. -
The duties and
powers of the rangers are set out in the Inland Fisheries Act. -
The ZO PZW ensures that the
post is equipped with the appropriate equipment. -
Third-party liability insurance for
the rangers at the post is arranged by the ZO PZW. -
Travel costs for the guards
are covered by the PZW Regional Organisation. -
All wardens
co-operate with the Police, the PSR, the SSR Rapid Response Group,
the Border Guard and the Forest Guard. -
