Announcement – 22nd Northern Lands Cup
The WWKS Słupia Club and the PZW
Czarna Dąbrówka Branch are organising a fly-fishing competition on 24–25 October 2014 for the 22nd
“Northern Lands Cup” on the WDA and BRDA rivers. In addition to the individual classification, the competition will take the form of the “OPEN FLY-FISHING CHAMPIONSHIPS OF THE
NORTHERN CLUBS AND ANGLING ASSOCIATIONS”.
The competition will take place across three sectors:
Sector A: the WDA River from the power station in Wojtal to the road bridge in Osowo Leśne
Sector B: the WDA River from the road bridge in Osowo Leśne to
Stara Rzeka
Sector C: the Brda River from the railway bridge in Rytel to the town of
Woziwoda (boundary of the Brda Valley Nature Reserve)
The competition base will be located at the “Perła Borów” holiday resort, Tleń, ul. Dębowa 11
The entry fee is 165 zł for seniors and 125 zł for
juniors. The fee includes:
– one night’s accommodation at the resort
– meals (dinner, breakfast, lunch)
– organisational costs, purchase of trophies, certificates and prizes
Competitors
are exempt from paying for mountain fishing permits issued by PZW Bydgoszcz and PZW Gdańsk for
the duration of the competition (24 and 25 October 2015). Within the competition area, it is prohibited for registered competitors to fish from 19 October 2015 until the day of the competition.

1. Flies must be tied on barbless hooks or
have the barbs removed (don’t forget the pliers!).
2. Each competitor must carry a
landing net and a pen.
3. Only grayling over 30 cm will count towards the score.
4. The competition will be held on a ‘live fish’ basis. There is no daily catch limit; fish must be returned to the water.
5. Negative scoring applies.
6. Fishing will take place in pairs – a competing angler +
a judging angler. The organisers will provide each pair with a tray and a measuring ruler.

COMPETITION PROGRAMME:
24 October 2015 – Saturday
8.00–9.30 registration of competitors
9.30 – 10.30: opening of the competition and competitors’ briefing
10.30 – 11.00: draw to determine competitor pairs
11.00 – 12.00: travel to the fishing venue
12.00 – 16.00 First round of the competition
16.00 – 17.30 Return to the meeting point
18.00 – dinner, announcement of the results of the first round
20.00 – gathering round the campfire.
25 October 2015 – Sunday
8.00 – 9.00 Breakfast.
9.00 – 10.00: competitors’ briefing.
10.00 – 11.00: travel to the fishing ground.
11.00 – 15.00: second round of the competition.
15.00 – 16.30 Return to the meeting point, handing in entry cards.
16.30–17.30 Lunch, announcement of results and close of the competition.
