The Management Board of the Słupsk District of the Polish Angling Association (PZW) is organising on 21 June 2015
the District Fly Fishing Championships
The competition will take place on the River Wieprza
COMPETITION
6.00 – Competitors to assemble at the bridge in Darnowo (Mnich)
6.30 – Opening of the competition
7.0 – Draw for pairs and sectors
7.30 – Competitors’ briefing
8.0–8.30 – Time for preparation and travelling to fishing spots
8.45–12.00 – First round of the competition
12.00–12.30 – Return to the meeting point
12.30–14.00 – Lunch break (bonfire)
14.00–14.30 – Travel to competition stations
14.45–18.00 – Second round
18.30 – Return to the assembly point
19.15 – Announcement of results and closing ceremony
COMPETITION
RULES
1. The competition will take place in two sectors
– Sector A – from the outlet of the fish farm in Bożanka to the bridge in Darnowo (Mnich)
– Sector B – from the bridge in Darnowo to the mouth of the Studnica River
2. The competition will be held using live fish
3. Flies must be tied on barbless hooks or hooks with the barbs removed
4. Negative scoring
applies
5. The following species count towards the score: grayling, brown trout, rainbow trout
6. The minimum size limit is 30 cm
7. Fishing will take place in pairs – a competing angler and a judging angler
8. After 1.5 hours of fishing, there will be a 15-minute break, during which the angler will switch roles with the judge
9. Each competitor must carry a landing net and a pen with
them
10. All details will be explained at the briefing
