SŁUPSK YOUTH OLYMPICS
IN ANGLING
/Rules for participation and the conduct of the competition/
RULES
§1
PARTICIPANTS
The competition is open to young people who are members of the Polish Angling Association (PZW), forming teams representing angling clubs run within schools, in two categories: primary schools and lower secondary schools.
§2
EVENTS
Competitors will compete for the title of Champion of the Słupsk Youth Angling Olympics in three events:
1. Test of knowledge of ecology and angling
2. Casting competition (2 events)
3. Float fishing competition
Re. 1. Environmental and angling knowledge test
– the questions are prepared by the Youth Committee
– a correct answer is worth 1 point, maximum 20 points
– Individual and team scoring
Re. 2. Casting competitions – 2 events
– Spinning accuracy – cast at the Arenberg target – event no. 3
– Target spinning – event no. 4
– Individual and team scoring
Re: 3. Float fishing competition
– teams of three compete
– the competition is held in a single round, in accordance with the RAPR and the regulations set out in the ‘Rules
Organisation of Competitive Angling”
– individual and team scoring
– the organiser may shorten the duration of the competition in exceptional circumstances
§3
SCORING – RESULTS
1. Final scores at the various levels of the competition:
– the individual championship is the total of points scored by a competitor in all
events
– the team championship is the total of the points scored by all competitors in a given team in
all events
2. In the event of a tie, the final position is determined by the number of points scored in:
a) the test, and if the scores are still equal, then
b) the float fishing events, and if the scores are still equal, then
c) the casting competition
§4
ORGANISER
1. The organiser of the Olympics is the Słupsk Regional Branch of the Polish Angling Association (PZW).
2. The organisational costs of the event are covered by the Słupsk Regional Branch of the Polish Angling Association (ZO PZW).
3. The travel costs for participants and their supervisor to the competition shall be covered by the sending organisation.
§5
PRIZES
The Słupsk Regional Branch of the Polish Angling Association (ZO PZW) will provide trophies and certificates for the individual and team winners, and a meal for all participants.
